Privacy

Agentic is designed to be private by default. This page explains what the app does with your data.

What stays on your Mac

By default, Agentic runs a model locally on your own Mac (Ollama). In this mode nothing leaves your computer: your messages, your files, and your screen stays local.

Cloud providers

If you choose a cloud provider (Gemini, OpenRouter, Groq, or OpenAI), your messages — including the prompts and tool output used to answer you — are sent to that provider so it can generate a response. Each provider handles that data under its own privacy policy.

Your API keys

API keys are stored on this Mac in the app's local preferences and are sent only to the provider you chose. They are never sent anywhere else and never leave your computer except to authenticate with that provider.

Conversations

Conversations are saved on your Mac in Application Support as local files. You can reopen them in the sidebar, start a new conversation to clear the current one, or delete them anytime. They are never uploaded to a server by the app.

Screen, files, and commands

The app only looks at your screen, reads or writes files, or runs commands when you ask it to, inside a conversation you started. It never does these things on its own.
